In case you missed part one here it is: Part One

Wednesday

On Wednesday the conference started properly with a busy schedule. It kicked off with a keynote speach from Guy Kawasaki on the Art of Innovation.

Following that was a really interesting session from Jupiter Research’s Patti Freeman-Evan who spoke about how online marketing is almost recession-proof which I, personally, found very encouraging.

Other sessions I found really interesting were ‘And the Survey Says’ which gave analysis of CJ US’s survey of adverstisers -highlighting trands and giving some surprising insights. I can give you some information if you email to industryinformation@cjblog.co.uk. I also found the session ‘Happily Ever After’ which was about search and affiliate marketing being essentially complementary very interesting.

Thursday and Friday

Thursday was a quieter day in context. The CJYou awards took place and the sweepstake winner was announced – they won a Mini Cooper! The event was then wrapped up with a closing lunch ioutside in the Plasa Del Sol in the beautiful Californian weather.

On Friday, with the event finished, we had to say some sad goodbyes to some of the team who had become quite a close little group by the end.

For those of us who stuck together we drove to LA and took a really cheesy tour. Check out our car!

We then took the sad journey to LAX airport (horrible place!) for the long trip home. Well – they did. Personally I stayed on and had a fabulous two week holiday in LA. I’m not just a pretty face you know
