CJU Santa Barbara 2008 Part One
Filed under: CJ UK Events; No CommentsCJU (Commission Junction University) in Santa Barbara this year took part on 16th – 19th of September. The European team took a total of twenty guests to take part in the networking, conference sessions and many parties. Here is a little recap of the events:
Sunday and Monday
We picked up a very tired group of clients up late on Sunday night at LAX airport. The plan was to drive back to our lovely hotel, the Canary, in Santa Barbara but the best laid plans and all that…..
On Monday morning we met early in the hotel restaurant feeling a little bit worse for wear. So you can imagine how pleased we were to be picked up in open-topped jeeps in baking hot sunshine which did nothing for the general levels of dehydration.
Luckily our plans for the day were all about recovery. After the initial whingings about the jeeps we were soon taken out into the most beautiful scenery of Santa Barbara to go on a wine tasting and tour.
Tuesday
On the Tuesday the conference started so we all went to the Fess Parker DoubleTree resort where the event was held. We went straight from registration into the Expo where CJ Europe had a stand. All I can say is that Californians really know how to network in style…
We then topped a hard day’s networking off with the Welcome Reception drinks at Santa Barbara Zoo which was absolutely amazing
More to follow soon….
